Women empowering women is the central theme of REST Connection and Connections Book Club was created to offer women an opportunity to build a rich community of supportive friends all helping each other work towards the betterment of themselves and the community.

Book selections focus on faith-based approaches to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth and wellness.

Our weekly book discussion is an opportunity for you to:

• Make new friends

• Expand your support network

• Develop new skills or strengthen old ones

• Have dedicated personal/social time each week

Our next book club session begins September 12, 2024.

Our book for this session will be “Think Differently Live Differently Keys to a Life of Freedom" by Bob Hamp.

Wrapped around an extended parable about a child, lost from his real parents and found and raised by a couple completely at odds with his heritage (his real family are renowned acrobats), this book shows us that the Gospel Jesus shared maybe different from the one we have heard. Each of us born separated from our true Father and suffers from the ingrained habits of our 'false parents' and even when we come into God's family, we often find barriers stand in the way of us becoming who God intends us to be. Bob Hamp encourages us to look and think again about everything we thought we knew. He explains why so many of us remain in captivity and shows us how we can access true freedom.
